Wellness Hotel in Austria

From 2007 – 2008 I created large scale wall paintings for a wellness hotel based in the mountain region of Styria. The goal was to transform the spa and main pool area’s with iIllusion paintings to give the impression of being in the Mediterranean. It took 6 months to create the wall paintings which are 90 m² in size covering 500 m² in total with the relaxation area included. The illusion paintings in the main pool area are quite unique because they are on all 4 walls connecting the floors to the ceilings. All of the paintings are made with acrylic and silicate paint with a final clear coat to protect against any water damages.
