Villa Mauritius

In 2016 I was assigned project manager for the re-design of a Bed & Breakfast in La Gaulette, Mauritius. The client bought the neighbouring land with two buildings which required a complete refurbishment to transform them into six holiday apartments with new balustrades on the balconies.

A Balinese pavillion was built to create a shaded seating area and a terrace for sun loungers. This gave the perfect ambience to relax in, especially with the sound of water gently running from the Bali inspired wall fountain which was made so that the water circulated from the pool and around the sun terrace’s.  At the main pool a five meter high waterfall was designed and built with a shower cave on the back.  Artificial sand stones were created to cover and enhance the existing walls which separated the gardens.  Garden pathways, pedestals and sculptures finalised the Balinese concept that the client had imagined.
